 2015 Kentucky Proud Derby Festival WineFest and
Wine Competition
 Kentucky may be best known for bourbon, but there's a prospering wine industry in Kentucky that's just as unique.  Kentucky is the proud home to a a gowing number of wineries.  The Kentucky Proud Derby Festival WineFest and the Wine Competition is a great way to bring more awareness to great industry of winemaking in both Kentucky and Southern Indiana.  Guests are treated to wine samples, and the opportunity to learn more about Kentucky wines. 
 
The Derby Festival invites local wineries to participate in the 2015 KY Proud Derby Festival WineFest and Wine Competition.  The WineFest event will occur over a two day period, April 28 th& April 29th, and will be located on the Belvedere at Waterfront Park, in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky.  The Derby Festival Wine Competition will be held in March. Exact date to be announce in the coming weeks. Winning wines will be on display at the WineFest event and featured in the Tasting Guide distributed to all attendees.   

The event hours for  KY Proud WineFest are 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm allowing patrons plenty of time to learn about and enjoy wines.  Particiapting Wineries are also given the opportunity to sell their wines by the bottle at their booth during the event.   Attendees will be treated to great music, atmosphere, while they enjoy wine samples from their complimentary event glass.  Cooking demonstrations and Wine 101 classes are offer during the event, to help showcase wine and cooking.
